Email Address: Used for account creation, authentication, and verifying your affiliation with a specific school or institution (e.g., a .edu domain) to assign you to the correct campus community feed.
User-Generated Content: Feed posts, comments, likes, event details, and photos you upload.
Device & Technical Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, and system diagnostic logs collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and operational performance.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

No Precise Location Tracking: We do not collect, track, or store precise GPS or live location data from your device.
No Bluetooth Data: Bluetooth permissions are not requested or used.
No Direct Messaging: The platform does not support or store 1-on-1 private messaging.

4. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain core functionality and app performance.
Display your profile, event details, and posts to other verified users within your feed.
Manage your account, respond to inquiry tickets, and provide customer support.
Verify institutional email domains to determine feed access and prevent unauthorized cross-campus visibility.

5. Content Moderation and Safety

We use automated keyword/pattern filtering on posts and comments, combined with user-submitted reports and human review. Reported content is reviewed on an ongoing basis (typically within 24 hours) and, where it violates our Community Guidelines, removed. Users may block other users and report individual posts or comments.

6. Sharing Your Information & Partnerships

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information under the following limited circumstances:

Campus Feed Visibility: Posts, comments, and event details you publish are visible to other verified members of your campus feed.
Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (such as cloud hosting infrastructure and transactional email services) process data on our behalf to operate the platform.
Local Business Partnerships: We may display sponsored or promoted posts from authorized local business partners. We may share aggregated, non-identifiable metric reports (such as total post impressions or views) with these partners. We never sell or share user email addresses or individual profile data with commercial partners.
Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, subpoena, or valid public authority request.

7. Institutional Email Verification

Feeds are strictly segmented by verified school email domains. Users without a matching, verified domain cannot access or view that specific campus's feed.

8. Your Choices

Camera Access: Revoke camera roll access at any time through your device system settings.
Account Deletion: Request full deletion of your account and associated profile data in-app or by contacting support.
Blocking: You may block other users at any time, which prevents them from viewing your content or interacting with you within the app.

9. Children's Privacy

FOMO NOMO is designed exclusively for college and university student communities. Our platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13.

10. Data Security & Retention

We implement standard technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted data transmissions (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your information. Upon account deletion, your personal profile data is permanently purged from active databases within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date at the top of the page.
